  1. Let's work through this.

    Can't be A.  That would mean they completely (and I do mean COMPLETELY) forgot their family traditions and beliefs.

    Can't be B.  The slaves were from the region of Senegal and that is NOT southern Africa.

    C?  They were of a number of different tribes along the river basin.  Not all spoke the same language or dialect.  They had to not only adapt but adopt to survive.  Meaning they had to learn the languages of the others caught up in the same predicament but then had to learn the language of their new found masters.  AND, still, they remembered from where they came and what they'd been taught.

    Can't be D.  The slave ships would stop in the West Indies prior to hitting port on the mainland of North America.  There, they would sell slaves to the sugar plantations.   To conclude that their culture was somehow created there and then brought to the mainland would imply that the slaves were picked up there (introducing) and then taken to the mainland (transplanting).

    Also, in the Congo a form of voodoo developed (blend of African and Christian) traditions, so some slaves already followed voodo upon their arrival.
