Need some info please. I was just let go from my job of 3 months due to the companies financial problems. Before the 90 days, the company started pulling money from my check for insurance. They claimed "it was to prepay". There were three different premium pulled from each check and I have paid over $300 for insurance. Now that I have been released and have never been given any information or paperwork for the insurance, can I demand a refund? I had mentioned it on my last day and was rebutted that I had been covered since July 1st, but I cannot find any evidence I am in the insurance company's system. I even called and they have never heard of me. Any suggestions will be grateful. Thanks.

  1. Nope.

All you can do, is tell them you have a couple medical claims for the month of July, and you need the group/policy number and claims address to file the claims.

THEN if they balk, you can complain to the department of labor.  It IS highly possible that they never added you - but you'll have to sue to get your money back . . . and you can't get blood from a stone.
