Tendulkar out of Bangledesh series+Tri series?...?

I have just read that Sachin has been ruled out of the Bangladesh Tri series and also has been ruled out of the Asian Cup..

What are your views on this?.

Do you think he should have stayed out of the IPL matches until his groin had recovered?

It is stated here that Sachin recieved this groin injury whilst out here in Australia in the Odi matches..

Is this another case of the IPL s******g up someone else career?..OR Is it a case of Sachin should have recovered properly before playing in the IPL?..

I would like to hear your views on this,we all know the IPL has cost us Aussies Matty Hayden so how do you Indian supporters feel about loosing Sachin for so long?..

Thanks :)

  1. I feel SAchin should've skipped IPL, because if he was injured and recovering, he should've not played the shortest and the fast-paced format of the game, coz in T20, u need to B very quick n very very active. And perhaps SAchin must've over-exerted himself to match the speed of others. That cud've been the reason, that he didn't recover properly and was ruled out of the Tri series and the Asian cup.

  2. That is right. But the injury was picked up in Australia and even then, he pushed himself in a few matches by playing when not fully fit. It could happen anywhere, in any other series.

Again, as in Mathew Hayden's case, it was his personal choice to play, and was not forced by IPL or any other board. So both need to take responsibility for their decisions and their outcomes. If money was dearer than rest, so be it.

But I think he will bounce back stronger after this, and in a sense, good that Mumbai has not reached the semis, as he would get more rest. It also proves another point, T20 is a game of the fittest.

  3. The IPL has certainly taken it's toll on some players. First Hayden, now Sachin. Just too much cricket.

  4. cant say why

but  its good that sachin is not gonna play few o d i

this time the true capabilities of so  called 'dhoni' and 'uvraj' will be revealed.

    they are good for nothing.

  5. firstly no one begged matthew hayden to play in the ipl.....he played because he wanted to......so blaming the ipl is out of the question.........but yes i think sachin did make a wrong decision by playin ipl..........on the positive side this gives a chance for dhonis young brigade to take some pressure in the tri series and the asia cup....but it could also go horribly wrong wit india..

  6. ITS RIGHT TO KEEP UNFIT & NON PERFORMING PLAYERS OUT OF THE TEAM

  7. Tendulkar takes a lot of risk with his body. He was not fit and still played the first match against SA and then again his injury was causing him trouble. I agree that IPL has injured many players and now Smith also. But its Tendu's fault that he still played when he had not fully recovered

  8. CHANCES ARE GIVEN TO THE YOUINGSTERS.

  9. he should have rested in ipl

  10. The injuries may have been made worse due to the IPL,  but age definitely has to be a factor.   They're both getting on a bit.

But it will be a sad day when both of those players eventually retire.   The end of an era.

  11. hi dear

  12. I strongly feel that Sachin should not have played any IPL Match before he is fully fit. It appears that he played IPL matches before he fully recovered from the groin injury he sustained during Australia seriess and it has got aggrevated.
