Survival questions for the ozarks... ?

a friend and I are taking a survival trip to the ozarks for my 26th birthday in september. i want to just drive and find a secluded place and hike and camp for 3-4 days. i'm taking minimal food, but bringing along my fishing pole and a 9mm handgun and m4 a3 rifle. does anyone know of a good place where it won't be near camp parks or national parks? i'm coming from texas. and should i get a hunting and fishing license at a walmart in arkansas also? i don't plan on hunting but if i can't catch any fish and i see game, i'll have to go that route. any tips or recomendations? i don't know really where to go...
