  1. The median salary for a flight attendant with Delta Airlines is $25/hour. I found that here: http://www.payscale.com/research/US/Empl... That's a lot better than $8/hour!

    Hope that helps

  2. 8 dollars an hour?  That's funny.  I have no idea, as I dont' work for Delta.  But, if you see the amount listed as an hourly pay rate, just remember that flight attendants only get paid when the aircraft is away from the gate.  So, the hourly rate may seem high, but they pay is not all that great.  FA's usually work around 100 hours a month.

PS, Delta is probably going to cut back a bunch, so they won't likely be hiring for a very long time.  Good luck.

  3. 8 dollars an hour +tips

  4. Not exactly sure, but when my father worked at US Airways for some 30-odd years, he was making $60000-70000 annually; not bad.

Also, I'd like to note that Misty makes it sound like a waiter job or something. Maybe one of my favorite quotes of alltime will put it in perspective: Richard DeMary, flight attendant for US Airways, and recipient of the 1994 Flight Safety Foundation Heroism Award: "If you perceive yourself to be an airborne waiter or waitress, then that's what you are. I think it's how you present yourself to your fellow crew members, to passengers, because they will only perceive you as you present yourself. It's an element of our job, but to me, pouring a soda is so small - it's so irrelevant compared to the duties of a flight attendant." Safety, not service, and not bad pay as you're proposing. Legacy carriers trump all in terms of pay, in which Delta is one.
