  1. I haven't seen many shops selling Egyptian towels although there are a few but are in the malls not on the main street.  You will find many hand bag shops most are fake and there are many places to buy sunglasses.

There are also shops selling shoes most are sold within the bag shops.  There are also designer clothes shops.

Egyptian style souvenirs include papyrus which is a plat to grows in the Nile and is made into paper and then painted on it's a symbol of what the ancients used for paper and includes pictures of the pyramids, kings and queens of the ancient world.  There is also perfume made from essence and has the same smell and perfume bought in shops just without the alcohol.

Old sharm market which is about 10 mins away from Naama and is cheaper for everything compared to Naama.

    Have a good holiday.

  2. Good answer from my big sis Balsam.

Beware when buying goods in Naama or Old Market, lots of items now are bought in from China, do check this, it's usually  marked clearly on the bottom of lots of goods now&the quality is inferior to those items made here in our own factories. Please support our Egyptian Manufacturers!!

If you visit il Mercato you will find egytian towels, linen etc., also in the Tiran Centre at Old Market. You will also find shoe & bags, clothes, perfumes, bazars, Camel Bazar is a large shop at Old Market, their prices are clearly marked& reasonable so you know exactly what you are paying, they have a very wide variety of items & their goods are also good quality. Any other shops without marked prices will always ask more than the goods are worth so always be ready to haggle. but do fix a price in your mind first&then stick to it, if the seller will not sell at this price politely leave the shop & go on to the next, prices vary from shop - shop!

    Enjoy your visit!! x

  3. There are many souvenirs to consider. Here are some examples: papyrus, replicas of pharaonic figures, perfumes, silver chains, bracelets and pendants, cartouches of silver or gold, cotton Tshirts, cotton caftans, scarves, leather goods, brass pots and lamps and much more things that are much cheaper in Egypt than elsewhere.

It is true that prices vary from one place to the other. The reason is that these items are hand made, in other words they are a work of art. There is no fixed price for art. The material used is often not the same.

  4. i advise you to walk along the streets where you find shops .

go in and ask about the prices of the things you like .

keep looking till you make up your mind about the best quality and prices .

dont be shy , just ask and weigh matters .

there is Naema Bay  as well as the Old Souk which isnt far but you need a ride .

    have a nice trip.

  5. i was their last year, everything opens up properly at night and you can buy almost everything there, you have to haggle the prices as they always overcharge.Always look around before buying anything as they all charge different prices and the quality of goods vary.enjoy your trip and don't buy any trips of people in the markets, use your holiday reps.
