  1. Firstly, Madame Forestier doesn't have a baby until the very end of the story. It really doesn't describe her.   She is rich, but remember:  the story takes place in Paris.  How about using her necklace or a franc to portray her wealth?  Madame Loisel (Mathilde) is spoiled, demanding, selfish.  Her husband is kind, satisfied, generous, loving.  What symbols would represent these things?  Perhaps you could draw Mathilde sticking her nose up in the air in a gesture of refusal while her husband offers her a bouquet of flowers.   Her husband could be drawn working hard over his desk.  He could look tired, his tie undone, his hair disheveled.

I've used this short story every year in my English 9 class, but this is the first time I've ever heard of a teacher asking for a drawing of the characters' characteristics.   PLEASE look over what you've written before you post it.  Your question was so hard to read and understand. Luckily, I am very familiar with the story and could deceipher your question.

  2. Mathilde, she's poor.

  3. she was stuck up and selfish
