Shia Users: Why do you pray to Imams' graves?

Question

A Shia Imam made explanation that Shia pray (offer Salah) to Imams' graves because Allah has ordered Muslims to pray for Muslim dead standing near their graves/dead body. We can't pray to non-Muslim/fasiq dead/grave.

What a non-sense argument. I thought we pray to Allah to show His mercy for dead. As far as it is mentioned in the Quran.

9:84 And never shalt thou pray over any of them that has died, and never shalt thou stand by his grave:for, behold, they were bent on denying God and His Apostle, and they died in this their iniquity.

9:113 IT DOES NOT behoove the Prophet and those who have attained to faith to pray that they who ascribed divinity to aught beside God be forgiven [by Him] even though they happened to be [their] near of kin-after it has been made clear unto them that those [dead sinners] are destined for. the blazing fire.

i seriously dont uderstand why you guys keep asking us questions if you wont believe in us, or ur trying to "prove" us wrong etc.

to answer ur question in a simple answer...No, we do not pray to their graves, rather we are paying our respects to them, we are giving their status that they deserve....if you guys wanna claim that we worship them and not Allah, than Allah will question YOU about it, not us, we never claim we worship them, and we only worship Allah just like you...

i think its more apuse to be for the poor, like to help the poor

im shia but im not sure way people realy do it like this

my grand mother is realy relegus and she doesnt evan shake hand with a non muslim...

but i think its more likte tredition, people shuld respect everyone and everything god has made and not just one this is only wat i think

i herd a sect. of shias in yemen exist that believe Ali is Allah... its like christianity all over again :(

Does not Allah tell us to stand by the grave of the Mumins and pray for them?

You are mistaken when you say they are Gods, and it is you saying that, not us, istaghfrallah.

And the verse you quoted should answer your question, if you had reason or use logic.

Are you about tawassul/istighaza?

Some sunnis and shiites do tawassul which is considered shirk by many scholars, and some think it is not.

or are you praying for dead?

yes we shall for dead, so that Allah show mercy to them.

Without going to grave also we can do. visiting graves make us remember death so that you repent your sins.
