Samsung lcd 23 inch tv- no picture only sound

Question

The picture was going to black and white for about 2 weeks. Now there is no picture at all only sound. I tried the flashlight up to the screen to see the "ghost picture" ( to check if it is the back light ) and I see nothing. I can change channels no problem and the sound matches the channel it's on. Is this worth fixing- I only paid $300 for this tv. Thanks Karen
