  1. A round-the-world ticket is also called as round-the-world fare or in short form RTW ticket. It is very useful is a product that permits travelers to fly around the world for a relatively low price. RTW tickets have established for some time and in the past were usually offered through marketing agreements between airlines on different continents. Now, they are almost globally offered by airline alliances, for instance:  SkyTeam, Star Alliance and Oneworld, or else by specialized travel agencies that will spend time helping customize a trip to the consumer's requirements.

They are charged according to class of service, place of travel, number of continents, distance and sometimes season of travel. The traveler advantages from the large and optimized network of the airline alliance and can contribute in the alliance's frequent flyer programs. Although r, these tickets are normally subject to restrictions. The beginning and end of the journey almost always have to be situated in the same country and exactly one crossing each of the Atlantic and Pacific must be included in the schedule. The number of stops is generally prohibited to 5-16, and backtracking between continents (especially Europe/Asia) is frequently restricted. The dates and journey do not have to be pre-planned, but may be replaced route at a local office of any airline in the alliance; however a change of destinations often results in an extra fee, and if the next flight is left open-dated the booking can be dropped by the airlines' computers. Fairs vary but are usually in the range of $3000-5000 USD for an economy class ticket.
