  1. Maybe a bush hideaway?

    they are pretty expensive though

  2. The Blue Mountains would be heaps more romantic than Sydney! There are some nice little bed and breakfast places in the mountains, in Katoomba and Blackheath. The Hydro Majestic is a great romantic hotel, but expensive. Google Blue Mountains accommodation and you'll find some places.

Another place I've been to is Caves House at Jenolan Caves. It was expensive, but what a romantic time you'll have there! Just the drive into Jenolan gets the blood going. Curling up together on a cold night, romantic dinner in the restaurant, visiting the caves in the day, going on a couple of short bushwalks around the area. Two nights there would be one of the most romantic getaways you could find.

  3. The Blue Mountains can be quite expensive too - as hotels are higher quality and more exclusive.  But there is a lot you can do there for free and it's much more romantic than Sydney.  If you can afford it, I have been to Lilianfels and it was amazing.  I don't know your budget, but here is a website offering some good deals:

Wherever you choose to stay I'm sure you will have a great time.
