Question:

Privacy fence issue?

I need to install a privacy wood 8' fence on my property line. The existing fence is a cyclone fence & the city will not allow it to be physically connected to the cyclone fence. The problem is that on my side it's all paved where i need the fence to be placed. Is there a way to bolt the posts to the concrete? Any other idea's?

I'm only looking at about 6-7 posts that need to go in. The cyclone fence is on my neighbors side & needs to stay in place for his dogs. Be easy if i could just remove the cyclone & replace it with the privacy, but that is not an option. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

  1. Yeah, the posts can be anchored to the concrete slab...There are many styles and methods to choose from at your hardware store. Another option (my choice) is to rent a concrete saw...cut out 8" squares where the posts go, drop in the posts, fill with concrete and smooth to match existing slab. Hope this helps...

  2. You can have a contractor drill hols into the concrete for the posts, then you can place the posts and re-concrete them to keep them firmly in place.  Bolting them to the conrete will not work.
