  1. I think if you're basing your vote on the candidates preference of the Sox over the Cubs, you probably shouldn't be voting to begin with!  Not to mention Obama was correct in his statement, Cubs fans are there for the atmosphere, not for the baseball.

  2. He can say whatever he wants.  There is no way he loses Illinois.  Besides....why would he want to get behind a team that hasn't won anything for 100 years?

  3. Derrick Lee agreed with Obama, does that mean Cubs fans will boo him when he comes up to bat?

If Cubs fans actually vote based on the candidate's favorite baseball team, they are fulfilling the stereotype that all Cubs fans are stupid.  It is ridiculous that some people might vote based on such a meaningless issue.  People should vote based on issues that will affect the future of our country.

  4. You guys don't.  Once again Obama calls it correctly.

  5. Yea i will not vote for him now

  6. Obama is right. He's a White Sox fan. I mean, I've been to the Cubs games before. It was hard to pay attention because no one around me was. People did not even know what inning it was and who they were playing. It was sad. They also didn't realize that their beloved team had just committed three errors in one inning. They cannot talk baseball at all. It was one of the most depressing experiences of my life. If you go to the South Side, people go to see their team play not just have a beer and chat about things other than baseball. Get out of denial.  People seriously go for a party. Lol dont vote for him. I doubt he cares.

  7. Wrigley is the worst place in the world to watch a game and obama is umm right on the money....ive been there he is not joking.....cubs fans.......SHUT IT

  8. I wish you had to pass a common sense test before you were given your voter registration card.

Voting for someone based on what baseball team they root for is purely idiotic.

Despite that, go ahead and vote for McCain. A Republican vote in Illinois is a wasted vote.

  9. First my history I have been to 25 ballparks over 1000 cubs games and over 100 White Sox home games.  Baseball is my passion and any objective baseball fan will tell you Wrigley's atmosphere/crowd involvement is second to none and Cubs Fans Travel all over the country better than any other baseball team's fans, anyone with MLB package will tell there are more Cubs fans at road game than any other team it is documented through road attendance and your own eyes if you watch any Cubs road game you will see 20-50% of the crowd are crazy Cubs fans totally into the game.  Also Cubs draw the best during spring training.  I was a huge Obama guy because of his judgement until today, he mocked Cubs Fans and played politics to try to say that he isn't an elitist because he wants to appeal in the lower class/minorities which White Sox have more of.  Obama knows that he will win Illinois but he is willing to appeal to a group of the electoral over the country that he isn't doing well with to offend his own people from Chicago who outnumber White Sox fans 3 to1 for TV audience.  There are millions of Cubs Fans all over the country and the backlash will be very bad for him as people like me who has worked hard the past year to help him get elected will now vote for McCain because of his bad judgement today.

  10. Sox fans are just bitter b/c no matter what they do they will always be the second team in chicago. SOX SUCK!

  11. Obama better not show up at Wrigley.  We'll boo him out of the stadium.

  12. Obama will WIN Illinois running away...with or without the Cubby votes..he spoke the truth anyway Cubs Sux

    Go Brewers!!!

  13. He lost my vote right then and there

  14. Yeah I have a thought, Obama is an idiot just like every other White Sox fan.  Cubs fans are far more baseball intelligent then any White Sox fan.  Let Obama go to that Southside dump where a tattoo gets you in to the game free.  All I have to say is there is absolutely no way I'm letting a White Sox fan get into office.

EDIT:  Ron Santo below me is the perfect example of the clueless, incompetent, disrespectful White Sox fans I speak of.  Just look at that beautiful sentence structure.  Is this the kind of guy you want running our country?

EDIT 2:  There's response #2 from a White Sox fan and do either of them make any sense what so ever?

EDIT 3:  Ron Santo, like I would ever listen to any advice from someone whose life is so shallow that he must make fun of a crippled amputee to make him feel better about himself.  It's my vote to with whatever I please and if I want to vote for another guy simply because the other is a White Sox fan, it is my right to do just that.  That's the beauty of America, it's called freedom.  As if Obama had my vote to begin with anyways.

  15. Yeah, the funny thing is that Derrick Lee agreed with him.

I wonder who is doing all of that screaming and cheering during the games?
