The former Manchester United midfielder believes that Scholes can lead United to their 20th league title in English Premier League...
Nicky Butt has come out and stated that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Paul-c29347
Scholes from retirement after the Englishman had bid farewell to Old Trafford and professional football at the end of last season when he declared his retirement following United’s defeat to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in the UEFA Champions League final at the Wembley stadium.
Sir Alex searched for a central midfielder in the previous summer transfer window and United were linked to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 for the Dutchman.
Throughout the season, Manchester United have been criticized for lacking creativity in their midfield department as United have struggled to keep pace with Manchester City at the top of the Premier League standings. Sir Alex’s
team recently defeated Manchester City in the F.A Cup reaffirming their competitive status in domestic competitions and now buoyed by the return of their midfield magician, Paul Scholes, Manchester United have a good chance of overtaking Manchester City in
the Premier League table.
Nicky Butt, the former Manchester United midfielder stated in his recent interview, “For me it was a no-brainer as far as the club is concerned now that Paul is back in the fold as an extra player and it will give everyone a lift.
He could be either be a revelation and be brilliant and play in every game or be a substitute and just play here and there and just help out but whatever happens it is a very good move for all parties concerned.”
Paul Scholes did feature in United’s win over City but he only came on as a second half substitute for the Premier League champions. Sir Alex will hope that Scholes can give his team the cutting edge that they have missed in the
Premier League title race so far since August, 2011.
