A plane flying a straight course observes a mountain at a bearing of 35.1° to the right of its course. At

that time the plane is 6 kilometers from the mountain. A short time later, the bearing to the mountain

becomes 45.1°. How far is the plane from the mountain when the second bearing is taken (to the

nearest tenth of a km)?

possible answers are

1) 7.4 kilometers

2) 4.9 kilometers

3) 3.2 kilometers

4) 8.1 kilometers

    4.9 kilometers.

    hv used sin formula.

    Sin angle/ opp side = sin second angle/ opp side to second angle = sin third angle/ side opp to third angle.
