My baby boy has a bunch of red bumps under his left eye and on his eye lid and also under his right eye i just noticed it yesterday and its getting worse but not much. It doesn't hurt him or itch him and he doesn't have a fever. He has a doctors appointment on thursday so I'm gonna ask the doctor then. But i was wondering if anyone knew what this was and if its potentially dangerous to my son.? Also how long does it last?

  1. It could be many things, but if he doesn't seem to be in distress, I would not worry about it. You have a Dr. appt. soon and he can be looked at then and ease your mind. If it gets worse, call the Dr. and ask them if you should be worried and what to do about it.

  2. Most likely it is acne -  babies get a spurt of acne about week 2 or 3 that is from the last of your hormones getting out of their system.  If you just leave it it will go away on its own and not leave any marks.

The other thing is that babies get rashes all over, all the time in the first year or so. Their skin is very sensitive and will react to lots of different things.  Ask your doctor what things to watch out for, and then you won't be worried every time.
