Mr. Pakistan and Mr. Junior Pakistan to be held in February 2011 – Bodybuilding news
Mr. and Mr. Junior Pakistan event is going to be held on February 26-27, 2011 in District Badin, Sindh.
It was decided by the Sindh Home Minister, Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Mirza. For the first time the competition is being held in the remote area to encourage the youth.
The treasurer of the Pakistan Bodybuilding Federation (PBF) told APP that all plans have already been made out to make the event successful and encouraging the youth.
He also said that the President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari and the speaker of National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza would be expected as Guests of Honour during the prize distribution ceremony.
More than 200 bodybuilders will take place in the event from all over Pakistan including units like Pakistan Army, Wapda, Railways, HEC, Islamabad, FATA, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan.
There will be six categories for Mr. Junior Pakistan comprising of 55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, and above 75kg.
There would be ten categories for the Mr. Pakistan event which comprises of 55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, 95kg and above 95kg.
The weighing classes of the candidates would be made on February 25 while the judgments will be made on February 26 and show posing event will held be on February 27.
Mr. Haji Rehmat Ullah will be acting as a coach during the event.
The Sindh Home Minister Dr. Zulfiqar Ali Mirza was eager to have the competition in District Badin, said Mr. Tariq Pervez who also is a qualified judge and has also represented Pakistan in Thailand. In a meeting held with the President of PBF Naveed Akram
Cheema, Dr. Zulfiqar said that the competition is going to motivate the youth of the area.
Mr. Tariq, who also is a General Secretary of the KP bodybuilding association, also said that he has his hopes high from the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa bodybuilders. He also discussed the performance of the bodybuilders in the previous events. Salman Khan of KP,
who had won a Gold medal (65kg class) during the 31st National Games, was also highlighted.
He nominated a total of 32 players 12 for Mr. Junior Pakistan and 20 for Mr. Pakistan.
He also appreciated the efforts of Mr. Haji Muhammad Ibrahim, who is the President of association, which he has put in to extend the sport.
