Moving to Australia help?

I am thinking of moving to Brisbane in Australia from New Zealand to attend Queensland University on the St Lucia campus.

How hard is it to cross credit my psychology and sociology credits over for a psychology/criminology degree?

How do I go about getting a student allowance once I move without having to wait for ages.

Is it hard to find a part time job in Brisbane at a motel/hotel, and any reccomendations.

Any suggestions on where to find accommodation.
