Real Madrid’s controversial manager Jose Mourinho has slammed the referee after a 1-0 win at home against Sevilla. The match saw nine Madrid players booked and defender http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Ricardo-Carvalho-c30973 sent off, by referee Carlos Clos Gomez.
In a fiery post match press conference the Portuguese said, "There were 13 serious errors from the referee. If I talk about them, I won't be at the next game. In the last press conference you asked me if I was tired. I don't feel under pressure when I'm
doing what I like, and I like to coach. I'm tired of this. My team deserves to be defended. If I say what I think, tomorrow I'm on the front pages and suspended." Mourinho has already served two touchline bans this season.
Mourinho also stated that the match was ‘too ugly’ and said, "I wouldn't have paid to see this game. At home I would have put on Eurosport to see a game from the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Vietnam-c3040 league."
Referee Gomez presented an astonishing 12 yellow cards in the match. Both sides also had a player sent off, Carvalho for Madrid and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mouhamadou-Dabo-c26889 for Sevilla. Madrid managed to secure a win after the Argentine winger Angel Di Maria, scored the only goal
of the match, just over 10 minutes from time.
Mourinho’s stay at Madrid has been fruitful so far. The only blemish in his tenure at the club is the 5-0 thrashing at the hands of La Liga leaders Barcelona. He has, however, continued to praise his work at his old club http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan. After Inter’s win in
FIFA Club World Cup final, he said, "I am very happy and feel very proud for Inter Milan's success in the FIFA Club World Cup. I thought Rafa Benitez would thank me for practically winning the title for him, but Inter Milan fans would tell you how they really
feel about it."
It is no secret that the prime reason for bringing ‘the special one’ to Madrid was President Florentino Perez’s desire to win the Champions League. Madrid have failed to go passed the round of 16 in their previous 6 consecutive attempts. Mourinho’s first
real challenge in the Champions league will be to defeat the French side Lyon, in the first knockout stage of the competition.
