Michael Clarke, the Australian skipper, expressed disappointment over losing the toss coin in the 2nd Test match against Sri Lanka today, September 8. The match is being played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, with the home team batting
first.

However, the captain reiterated that the Aussies were ready to bowl first as they had accepted it as a big challenge for them. He told that it did not make a difference whether they bowled first or second but they wanted to win the toss.
Clarke told, “I would have loved to have won it. The wicket looks fantastic but I am pretty sure it is going to be a good wicket for the first few days. As we have discussed as a bowling unit we have to come out and bowl well, whether we bowl first or bowl
second, so I am looking forward to this challenge.”
He also proclaimed that the atmosphere of the Kangaroos’ dressing room was somewhat emotionally charged ahead of the match.
The skipper stated, “It was pretty emotional. I think a few of the boys were holding back tears. Shaun was just pretty excited to get his cap to be honest.”
After winning the ODI series 3-2, the visitors claimed the opening Test comprehensively. The ongoing competition is a highly significant one for both the teams as it is destined to decide the three-match series.
Clarke is hopeful to walk away with victory as he aims at leading his side back to the track of success in Test cricket. He is considering this tour as a big breakthrough for the Australians who are h**l-bent to regain their lost pride and prestige at the
