I got offered a place at Monash, RMIT in Melbourne and Macquarie. The RMIT program is a MBA program but the Unis in Melbourne costs $ 15000 more than the one in Sydney. I am a oversea students, I don't have much money. I heard Sydney people are snoby but I think that inspires me to fight harder, a peaceful life leaves me unhappy, I used to live in Adelaide.

So your opinion, guys. Thanks.

  1. Melbourne is a better place for studies

  2. Another thing is RMIT is located in the heart of Melbourne city whereas Macquarie is a fair way north of Sydney city (at least half an hour I would say).   Melbourne people are just as s****. as Sydney people.....just stay away from those people.   It might be more "peaceful" if you go to Maquarie compared to RMIT I think.

    good luck!

  3. Mate, all your gonna get is biased opinions. If the course is the same and the only difference is the price then I think $15000 is a good enough reason to choose Sydney over Melbourne. There is not a great deal of difference between the two cities except maybe the weather. You will get snobs everywhere and friendly folk everywhere. But before you decide do some research into accomodation and other neccessaties to see if Sydney have what you need.

  4. I suggest that with a $15000 start you have no option, it has to be Sydney.

    But remember this,

Sydney is so much more expensive than Melbourne, Especially for Accommodation,

you will break even ( Financially.) In around 5 years.

Then would be the time to "jump ship" & head for Melb.

  5. melbourne is wayyy better! if you think that melbourne is that expensive sydney will be even worse! sydney is the most expensive place to live in australia and seems very confusing to me.

  6. I would have to say that that Melbourne would be a greater place to study and live. Having said that- I live in Melbourne and study at Monash so I may be a little bit biased :) I'm an international student as well. Melbourne would be a good place to study coz it's a fantastic place to live. You would get a really great university experience- there is a lot going on in Melbourne that is really fun! :) You could try applying for a scholarship in Melbourne if that will help? Hope this helps with your decision.
