Manchester United hope that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-c10409 De Gea can overcome his language barrier
Manchester United went on to successfully complete the signing of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/David-de-Gea-c10463, from Atletico Madrid, this past month. Following his move to Manchester, it now seems like the only problem that the keeper has encountered is in terms with the language barrier.
Having lived his entire life in http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alex-c4752 Ferguson seems to be well aware of this fact and is looking find a way around it.
When talking about the twenty year old keeper, who cost the team around eighteen million pounds, Ferguson was quoted to have said: "The only problem with De Gea at the moment is that he doesn't speak any English”
"We have got him working on certain calls and shouts with the defenders.”
The manager then went on to talk about the potential that De Gea had, as he compared him Chelsea shot stopper, Petr Cech. Ferguson admitted to the mistake he made, by not making a move for the keeper, back when he was younger and didn’t want to repeat the
same mistake with De Gea.
Ferguson then went on to add: "I'm not worried about his age. I looked at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 and it was clear we made a mistake.”
"When we were scouting De Gea, we dismissed his age and focused on what qualities he could bring and he has a lot going for him.
"At the moment, he hasn't got a great physique, he's tall and wiry but we will work on that."
De Gea has gone on to finally link up with the rest of the United squad and is currently taking part in the team’s pre-season tour. Based on the performances that the keeper has put in during practice and during the course, he seems to be following perfectly
in the footsteps of Edwin Van Der Sar. The keeper uses his height to his advantage and uses his pace and reflexes, brilliantly. At the same time, he seems to have the ability to marshal the defenders from the goal line, as he constantly tells them what he
wants them to do.
That being said, his language constraints are currently limiting him from hitting full potential at the club. However, with Ferguson ready to address the issue, it safe to say De Gea will be participating in English conversations, over the course of the
coming few months.
