Manchester City Update: Hat-trick hero http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mario-Balotelli-c23937 feels homesick
It has been reported that Manchester City striker Mario Balotelli is feeling homesick and wants to return to Italy.
However, his nostalgic feelings had no effect on his performance on the pitch as he registered a hat-trick during City’s 4-0 victory over Aston Villa in the English Premier League.
The match was played at the City Of Manchester Stadium, where the home side had won only 1 match in last 5 games prior to Tuesday night’s clash.
Club captain Carlos Tevez was rested for the match and Balotelli spearheaded the attack in the Argentinean’s absence.
Mario's 1st goal was through a penalty spot which he coolly converted to give City the lead inside the opening 10 minutes. His 2nd striker was a simple 2 yard tap-in when Villa goalkeeper Bradley Freidel failed to safely handle David
Silva’s left footed effort.
The former FC Internazionale marksman completed his hat-trick in the 54th minute, when he struck from the penalty kick, while wrong footing the Villa keeper.
Manager Roberto http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
He said, “He has to understand this country and this football before he can give his best. Mario is working on it and knows he has to do more for himself as well as for the team. When he assimilates this concept and makes use of his superior qualities, he'll
become an important player.”
Balotelli joined Manchester City from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 Milan at the start of this season and has scored 5 league goals in 9 appearances for the club. He has seen limited opportunities during his stay at Eastlands as Carlos Tevez is preferred by Mancini in the striker’s
role.
Super Mario, as he is nicknamed in Italy, has built a reputation of being arrogant and having attitude problems.
But, the 20-year-old denied such rumours and said, “I am always happy, even when I don't smile. But I feel a striker has to score. It is my job. That is why I don't smile. I am very happy even if the journalists in Italy say I want to go to Milan. I am here
and I am working hard in training. I want to be an important man for this team and the results are on the pitch.”
