Lump on leg after bruise?

Question

i had this huge bruise on my leg from getting kicked (soccer) on the side of my leg. its wierd though because the bruise sort of wrapped around my leg, even though i only got kicked in one spot.

it was black and blue , then changed to a bunch of different colours.

the bruise is getting smaller, but tonight i noticed a big hard lump where the bruising is gone. any ideas of what it could be?

 keep in mind not all hematoma's go away in time.  I have one in my shin area that has been there over 15 years.  

 

 I was trying to find an answer to my question regarding my son who is only 2 and has not had any falls, has a bruise about 1 inch below his knee cap and its been there about 3 weeks but now all the sudden there is huge lump and the bruise is still there.  I can not seem to get his peditricians office to call me back.  I think I may just have to take him to their office.

I was kicked in the leg about a month ago..was red, then bruised, went away, then a knot came up about a week ago the size of a small egg and it hurts when I walk.

I keep getting these lumps after suffering from large bruises (soccer mainly, but my first time getting this lump thing was from a cheerleading bruise). I don't know what to do about them! They hurt to touch, now it hurts to put my cleat on my foot because of a lump. I can barely touch my other ankle and my hand STILL(after.... probably seven months now) has one. I've heard its a hematoma but all three of them are clear lumps in the middle of the bruises. This moronic hand doctor stuck a needle in my hand and removed a clear liquid from it, but he didn't do anything about it, and told me to forget it. That was five months ago! What are they really? What do I do?

i have a large lump on my lower leg with blue and purple bruising all around it, it still hurts a lot and dosent seem to be going, i have had this over a week now, i was hit by a large metal pole, could this be serious.

I have the same thing, I fell off my trampoline and hit my shin hard on the pole. I couldnt walk for a while, and there was a huge bruise. After the bruise went, I could feel a lump, I couldnt see it though. It's still there and that was over a month ago, it doesnt hurt or anything, I can just feel it. No idea what it is though, my mums taking me to get it checked out.

I fell and brusied the calf of my leg and the brusing is almost gone but, a large know is still there and if I walk much my ankle swells..I went too the Docter and he looked at it and said, nothing broke..That was three weeks ago...The calf of my leg burns if I walk alot...

i have the same just it was a car door slamming on my lower leg had huge bruise for over a week now got this hard lump in the middle of my bruise..i thought it was a clot as i havnt felt right for ages and it doesnt seem to be going down..
