Loul Deng’s best performances for the Chicago Bulls in the 2010-2011 regular season (Part -1)
During the course of the regular season, Chicago Bulls' prolific small forward Loul Deng transformed himself from being a fringe player to one of the regular starters in the Bulls outfit. The prolific forward has been a revelation this season. He may not be the frontrunner in the team; however his all-round performances have given Chicago some extra depth in their roster.
Deng has been a key component in making Chicago Bulls one of the toughest contenders in the East and one of the favourites to clinch the Championship trophy, this year. He finished the regular season with an average of 17.4 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. Some of his best performances of the season are as follows.
22nd October vs. Indiana Pacers
Playing at the United Center, the Chicago Bulls thrashed the visiting Indiana Pacers with a comprehensive 102-74 victory. Deng was outstanding on the night and landed a game-high 29 points with 8 rebounds to put the Bulls on the frontline.
Deng was in his zone from the very start and started off with 15 points in the first quarter to spark a massive 32-17 advantage. The Bulls never relinquished the lead from there on and sealed a brilliant victory.
1st November vs. Portland Trailblazers
Playing against the Portland Trail Blazers, the prolific forward racked up a career-high 40 points as he powered the Bulls to an electrifying 110-98 win.
Deng scored 20 points in both the first and second half of the game and also helped the Bulls overcome a huge night from LaMarcus Aldridge.
11th November vs. Golden State Warriors
On 11th November, the Golden State Warriors arrived at the United Centre to face off Chicago Bulls. However, they endured a night, which they will want to scratch off their memories. All the Bulls starters landed double figures that night with Deng leading the front with his magnificent double-double. He scored a game-high 26 points and clutched 11 rebounds as the Bulls routed the Warriors by 120-90.
24th November vs. Phoenix Suns
Loul Deng notched up a double-double to complement the efforts of Derrick Rose, who finished with 35 points, as the Chicago Bulls outwitted the spirited Phoenix Suns with a 123-115 margin. Deng concluded the night with 26 points and gathered 10 rebounds to put his team on the frontline in a hardly fought encounter.
