Los Cabos/Cabo San Lucas?

Question

Is there a difference between Los Cabos and Cabos San Lucas? I'm going there in the end of April to the Riu Santa Fe and was wondering what the temperature is like since I am from B.C., Canada and the weather is cold.

Also, I'm in my early 20s and am just going with my bf...should I spend a lot of time downtown or should I stick to mostly the resort? How much does it cost for restaurants/clubs (drinks) in downtown of Cabos? Is it safe to walk there at night?

Hola.  I'm a canadian girl living down here in Cabo.  I can tell you the difference.  Los Cabos is what we call the whole area down here....that includes the town of Cabo San Lucas, the town of San Jose del Cabo and the highway that connects them called "the corridor".   Most people find the Riu Sante Fe really great because it is really close (walking distance) to downtown Cabo San Lucas, and that is where the all the nightclubs are, as well as the crazy party beach called Medano Beach.  You won't want to stick close to the resort...you will want to wander all over town.  Especially along the marina and to do some shopping in town.  It is very safe and friendly.  AND it is really hot down here right now...mostly between 29 and 36C each day!  It will blow your mind (and I know Canadian winters! lol)    So come on down and enjoy yourself.  The Riu Sante Fe is lots of fun with all the activities but you can also go off by yourself and maybe go swim with the dolphins, or go golfing or 4x4ing or maybe ATV the sand dunes, or snorkel the beautiful waters.  Too much to do down here!  Enjoy your trip!

Los cabos  is a place located in Baja California Sur (northern Mexico).  Cabo San Lucas is located in a Different state ( i dont know exactly where).  It is safe to walk In Los Cabos, BCS at any time during the day/night.  Restaurants (luxury) are just as expensive as those in Canada/USA.  People are friendly there and would be glad to answer any questions you might have. Just remember not to trust any person you think is nice,gentle, etc.  Since there are people who would kidnap you or even rape you just because you are canadian.

Carry condoms with you just in case.

Los cabos is a town in Tabasco , there is no such city on the baja.  Los Cabos int airport is in San jose dl Cabo.

Los Cabos and refers to both cabos(Capes) in the area of "Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo.

It will be quite warm there and quite safe.

Go out and enjoy millions of other tourists do.
