Looking for Sunbeam Vista Food Processor S Blade. Not too long ago my husband and i came across a Sunbeam Vista Professional Food Processor.  our experience so far is great, It has a lot of slicing tools and the motor runs very smooth, but we don't have the "S" chopping blade that fits in the bottom mechanism.   Looked at the store near our house but no luck. Even tried contacting the company and parts dealers but nothing good came of it.   I know this is an old processor ... do you know of an "S" blade that I could substitute?  (I think the processor is from the 1980's.)

  1.  I am looking for the processor 2 1/2 qt bowl & shredder blade for the sunbeam vista food processor model number 714-38. It's an old one with a great motor still, but bowl & shredder blade are broken.

  2. I may have what you need and would be happy to give it to you for free, you would just need to pay shipping.  Is your food processor very old... say 35- 40 years?  If so, I have the same one and a different piece on mine recently broke.  Since there are no replacement parts anymore I was going to discard it, but if you could use the other pieces that would be great.  You may contact me at bumpbums@comcast.net

  3. Good luck on finding such a thing!  This could have been a wonderful piece of equipment, but the top plastic parts were extremely fragile, and Sunbeam stopped making parts over 10 years ago.  The S blade is one of the weak links and as far as I know, it cannot reasonably be replaced.  I know, I've been babying mine for 21 years.  When the S blade finally fails, the thing turns into a salad schredder only.  That is, it's time to buy a new food processor.
    Very sorry!
