do they have strong andalucian accents there? would i be better off in santander: northern spain?

how hot will santander get in july?

Of COURSE they do.  The Andaluz accent is simply very strong.  When you can understand Andaluz, you can understand any spanish.  and, not necessarily better off in Santander, though I hear it's a pretty city, too.  Andalucía, if you ask me, is where it's at.
