Larrikin geared up for fourth straight win
After his three consecutive victories of the last month, the D. Knight trained black dog, Larrikin, seems to be in the position to seal first position in the Coral.co.uk Standard – Triplicated that is due to take place at Hove racecourse on Thursday night,
September 6.
The race will begin at 22:11 (GMT). After breaking from the red box, the two-year-old experienced hound will run over 515 meters while cherishing the pleasant memories of the past races.
It seemed that Larrikin gained some miraculous strength with the beginning of August as he did not step out of the podium throughout the month.
After narrowly winning the A3 515m Flat on 8th, he finished third in the Droopys Glee 3 In A Row Trophy on 11th. The skilled sprinter moved on to win the A2 515m Flat by a neck’s margin on 17th.
Then the talented son of Premier Fantasy out of Droopys Cupid grabbed his maiden OR victory with the title of Buffalo Cup. He won that race by the margin of 4½. He again grabbed a sterling success in the very next race named as The Belle Standard – Duplicated.
This wonderful hat-trick has boosted up Larrikin’s morale superbly. Hopefully, he will enjoy great time tonight. A lot of expectations are hinged on him. Let us see how he lives up to all.
Despite the presence of all these factors, Larrikin will have to face the wrath of Droopys Danneel who broke her maiden with a T3 victory on July 21.
Being the 6-4 favourite, the S. Cahill trained black b***h marvellously finished first in the Gala Coral Maiden b*****s (duplicated) on August 9. She went on to win Coral Brighton Belle - Heat 4 with a slight margin.
The brilliant b***h nicely notched up a 2-length clean victory in her last start on August 29. Thus, the daughter of Rumble Impact out of Droopys Bubble possesses immense form at the moment. If she manages to capitalise on it properly, she can easily knock
Larrikin down.
So a rip-roaring battle is lying ahead. Let us see who of the two daredevils thrives. Good luck to them.
