Kobe Bryant of the Lakers is out for revenge against the Phoenix Suns. The Lakers have a long history and a score to settle with the Suns. Last Monday in Energy Solution Arena the Lakers beat Utah Jazz   111 – 96 Game in the semi finals. The Los Angeles Lakers will now meet Suns their old rival in the finals on May 17. The Suns previously defeated the Lakers in 2006 and 2007, the defeats which the Lakers could never forget.  When Bryant was asked whether playing Suns again would be special this time or same as before, Bryant expression became blank and he started scowling back at the reporter who asked the question, for he already knew the answer to the question.
The mention of the Suns lit a fire of revenge in Bryant who previously scored 30 or more points against the Jazz in all four Games. Suns on the other hand pose a threat to the Lakers considering their past record on the court. 56 post-season games have been played between these two the second highest total ever played against a single team. Bryant was asked again about the Suns while he was walking through the hallway towards the Lakers team bus. His colour vanished immediately on hearing the name. All this makes sense that Bryant is waiting to take on the Jazz stars Steve Nash, Amar'e Stoudemire and the rest. Bryant is of the knowledge that the help he has now he didn’t have in the previous years. Lakers coach Phil Jackson said in an interview that the Suns have great combo. They have two-man combo in Nash and Amar’e. He also stated that they have a good combination in Kobe and Pus and with them they can take on the Suns.
The Lakers will have a six days rest before they take on the Suns on May 17th. According to Kobe the rest will be good for the team so that they could prepare well for the Suns because it would be quiet a match when the two meet on court.
The difference that they are better this season or were better before doesn’t count. Only matter is that the team should be confident so that they could win. The Lakers will have to play their best in order to win the game and break the winning streak of the Suns over the Lakers. According to Deron Williams the point guard of Jazz told that Bryant was mad at the way people behaved towards him. People ought to owe Bryant an apology and TNT’s Chuck Barkley should also apologize in saying that Bryant is getting old and is not able to perform the things he used to do. And he pretty much beat all the odds. The Lakers are not beating with one man; it’s a team effort in which the next guy steps forward and then the other. That’s why he is confident that he can out match the Suns in the games ahead. When asked if he is still upset of back-to-back playoff losses to Suns. Bryant replied that he was, just a little bit.
