LCD listed at Display Format 720p supports 1080i?

what does that mean?

Display Format 720p

Input Video Formats 480p, 720p, 1080i, 480i

soooo will it produce a 1080i picture, or will it convert a 1080i to a 720p?

  1. That means it can take all types of inputs, such as:

    HDMI

    DVI

    Component

    S-Video

    Composite

    Coaxial

    It will accept it as a 1080 i and reduce it down to 720p

    It is a step down but not that much, if this TV is for games it will not show to much in the picture. Also in case you were wondering the difference in 1080p and 1080i is that i is integrated and p is progressive scan. P is always better, it allows for a smoother picture with less ghosting. So if you have the money, 1080p is where its at.

    P.S. Any contrast ratio you read is BS there is no good way to measure it
