Kevin Love: 10 Best games of the 2010-11 regular season – Part 1
Minnesota Timberwolves’ star forward centre Kevin Love had a splendid 2010-11 regular NBA season with a massive average of 20.2 points along with 15.2 rebounds per game.
Although the Timberwolves had an unforgettable season, in which they finished last in the league, but Love performance was extraordinary in the whole season. Voted as the
season ‘Most Improved Player’ (MIP) this season, Love made the highest consecutive double-double record his own, eclipsing the one set by the great Moses Malone, who had 51 straight double-doubles.
Love proved himself as a best player in the Timberwolves’ roster and led his team from the front throughout the season. His 10 best games are as under from the 2010-2011
season:
October 15: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Detroit Pistons
Playing at home, Kevin Love scored a game high 21 points along with ten rebounds and led the Timberwolves towards a splendid 99-88 win over the Detroit Pistons.
In the opening period Love was struggling and just scored two points. However he got into his groove quickly and erupted in the second quarter with nine points. Love continued
his thrilling game in the third quarter as well and scored ten points which gave the Timberwolves a comprehensive lead and took them towards a superb win.
October 17: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Milwaukee Bucks 
Playing against Scott Skiles’ stoutly defending team, Love burst with a game high 32 point blitz and put the Timberwolves on course to a 114-109 victory.
Love also complemented his offensive brilliance by gathering 13 rebounds. The Bucks got a good start and led by 34-30, in the first period, in which he scored seven points.
However Love added nine more points in the second quarter which pulled up the Timberwolves up by 59-53 at the break.
Love added two points in the third period but was dominant in the final quarter by scoring 14 points which led the Minnesota towards a splendid win.
November 12: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. New York Knicks
In a 112-103 victory over the Knicks, Love set the NBA record books tumbling by gathering 31 rebounds and scored 31 points, a feat that was the last achieved in 1981.
With Love reduced to just 6 points in the first half, the Knicks were leading the game comprehensively by 65-51. However with the advent of the second half, Love unleashed
a procession of shots and scored 23 points to spearhead the Wolves to a fantastic win.
November 24: Minnesota Timberwolves vs. San Antonio Spurs
In a home defeat against the Western Conference leading team San Antonio Spurs, Love once again scorched the court with a team high 32 points along with 22 rebounds . His
brilliance however could not replicate the might and the experience of the Spurs, won the game by 113-109.
Love contributed 13 points in the opening quarter which gave his team a good start of 33-18. The Wolves were leading in the game till the end of the third quarter by 82-71.
The Spurs though, mounted a comeback and tied the game in the final seconds of the regulation time to take it into overtime.  
Although, Love played tremendously throughout the whole game, he went cold down the stretch and was not able to score a single point in the over time.
