Is unprescribed reading glasses safe?

  1. No...I don't promote such glasses to my clients..It often comes with very poor quality plastics that is not optically good.. And I've nothing to say about the good. centration of the lens..Hundred times I tried and failed to find it...!!!

  2. Yes. In fact my eye doctor recommended I get them over the counter to save money. I need 1.25 strength. When you go to the store there is usually a chart with words written on it and when you can see the words clearly the prescription level you need is written next to it. As long as you are wearing them for reading, not driving,etc, they will be safe for your eyes. If you get the lenses to strong, you may end up dizzy or with a headache.

  3. if it doesn't hurt your eyes. just like looking though prescribed glasses that either too strong or weak for you would be bad.
