Is the ASPCA legitimate?

Is the ASPCA a legitimate organization? I want to make sure of that before I donate, because I really want to help the animals.

They are legitimate....but why is this with PC Security?

It is really based on the chapter closest to your location.  The branch near our home was horrible.  The staff were unqualified and presented themselves quite poorly.

I recommend you check out your local facility and see what you think.  If you don't like what you see, you can always offer to volunteer of your time to make it better.  Better yet, look into a no-kill shelter where you can invest your money/time/donations.

Also, many people prefer the ASPCA to other groups because they look out for the welfare of animals without being too fanatical (in comparison to PETA for example)
