Is it possible to taste in a dream without you actually having to taste something in real life?

    When I was a kid, I dreamt I ate one of own eyes.

    It tasted a bit salty.

  3. yeah sort of, although you are imagining the taste and not actualy tasting anything

  4. Absolutely.  All senses are on tap when we dream.  I have read that the more creative a person is, the more senses that are experienced while asleep.  It's interesting.

  9. yes, you can I dreamed I was eating bbq ribs; tasting and smelling them.   I woke up half crazed for ribs!!! Not sure how t hat happened, but could be stored memory.....

  10. sometimes i feel pain when i dream...but i never remember tasting anything. i know that it possible for your brain to stimulate all of your senses while you are sleeping though!

  11. Sometimes your brain will use the taste of a certain food that you have actually tasted before, and associate that taste with a different food that you've probably never even tasted before.
