Is it possible to get India BirthCertificate with Apostille? How?

I inquired from my municipality but they say there is nothing like that. But online ,i see that India comes under the countries that have signed the condition.

Apostille _can_ be obtained from a government agency designated for that purpose - it's probably a Ministry of Justice or some similar department. Remember that a document can only be apostilled by the same country _and_ in the same country that it was issued in.
