  1. No, but it may be against the law in many places.

  2. Some religions consider it a sin, because they believe the human body is a gift, and that it should be treated as a temple. Ingestion of any smoke would be considered damaging to the temple.

Some religions consider marijuana a sacrament, a vehicle to transport the mind to higher levels to seek communion with God.

Generally, however, most people smoke it to get stoned, a hedonistic approach. This usually includes ingestion of large amounts of munchies, and leads to apathy, paranoia, and/or uncontrollable fits of laughter.

    Now, about genealogy...

  3. Interesting genealogy question.

  4. No.  If I was religious, I would say that using it to excess and letting it rule your life to the detriment of everything else would be the sin.

  5. That depends on why you're smoking it

  6. No it's a personal choice.. you shouldn't be looked down upon if you do. Drinking isn't a good thing but almost everyone has done it at least once. To me smoking weed and drinking alcohol are on the same level.

  7. Yes! Smoking it makes you put questions like this in the wrong section!

  8. Wouldn't this question be better suited to the Polls & Surveys forum, not the genealogy/ family history ?

  9. YES, it is a sin.

If you are a believer of God then you know that the Bible is God's written word. Below is a few scriptures from God's word and some comments from doctors (MD's) and a doctor of the National Institute on Drug Abuse in the United States. Please read and understand.

Romans 12:1   "I entreat you by the compassions of God to present your bodies as a sacrifice living, holy, acceptable to God, a sacred service with your powers of reason."

David Powelson, MD, Former Chief of Psychiatry says Marijauna is the most dangerous drug we must contend with.

    1.   Its early use is beguiling. It gives an illusion of feeling

good. User cannot sense the deterioration of his mental

          and physiological processes.

    2.   Its continued use leads to delusional thinking. After 1 to 3

years of continued use, the pathological forms of thinking

begin to take over the thought process.

Dr. Robert L. DuPont of the National Institute of Drug Abuse says there are at least two kinds of health danger associated with the drug.

    1.   The effects of intoxication ranges from the hazardous

impact on driving to caring less about everything else.

    2.    Purely physical. Concerns range from chronic bronchitis

of marijuana users to the very real possibilities of

hormonal effects, effects on the immune system and

           possibly cancer.

The following Bible Scriptures you will have to read for yourself.

    James 4:8,  Proverbs 23:20 & 21,  1st Corinthians 6:9 & 10.

These are only a few scriptures to let you know that God is displeased with the dispicable things one can do to their body and brain.

2nd Timothy 3:1 thru 5 tells you the things that will happen thru out the world before the end of Satan's horrible rulership comes to an end and God cleans up the earth and brings it to a paradise for righteous people to dwell in.

If you are a user of marijuana study of the Bible can be of help

    to overcome this dreadful habit.

If you would like to study the Bible and learn more about the things of God I will be most pleased to help you.

  10. no.i don't believe in sins  though.i also don't think it is wrong.i think it is just fine.it's not any worse than smoking a cigarrette.in fact i think smoking weed is better.here's to smoking weed!!

  11. I honestly can't remember.

  12. I doubt it, after all how do you think some of the prophets in the Bible came up with their weird visions?  They got to be celebrated thousands of years after they died as great Christian figures.

  13. It's not a sin if you don't believe in god.

    Just saying :)

  14. I checked the Ten Commandments.  I couldn't find anything about smoking marijuana.  Your local law enforcement might have a problem with it though.

  15. No it's not a sin, it's just not a very sensible thing to do, for quite a large number of people, 40%, it will cause really serious mental health problems like schizophrenia, someone very close to me died because of it, so it really is best left alone because you do not know if you are going to be one of that 40% and if you are you do not know that it is happening !
