Is good luck necessary for sucess?

still i am thinking what is luck.according to me some foolish people think and depend on luck.if u.r.not doing hard work luck will never give you money or any kind of success/you have to work hard and use your brain to rise.if luck is realy some thing we must wait and watch what good things are happening in my life.i am sure must be zero we get.
