sounds good to me.  however wine must be kept under proper conditions; never too warm or in the sun.  kept properly it should be great.

It won't be harmful, but if it was stored at room temperature you may find it's not as good as you hope.  Room temperature fluctuates as the seasons change and this is very bad for wine.  If it's been in your home since '82 in an uncontrolled environment, this means it's been sitting in changing temperatures for 26 years.  Best case scenario in this instance, you'll have a weak tasting wine with little to no sparkle left. Worst case scenario, you'll have a very expensive bottle of vinegar.

If it's been properly stored though, which is usually around a consistant 55 degrees laid on its side, you'll have a wonderful bottle of bubbly.

A bottle of 1992 Dom is considered "mature" - this bottle is 10 years older, so the quality of the wine has a lot to do with how it was stored. I did open an '89 and it was great. Hope your's is too!

How much do you want for it? haha i have been looking for a bottle around that year. they are all around the same price too.
