  1. MySQL is RDBMS


  2. RDBMS are likely to follow more than 7-8 Dr. E.F. Codd's rules, so if one Information Rule is not followed partially, it does not make MySQL a DBMS.
    Seconldy, MySQL provides security which is not a part of DBMS.
