I am thinking of allowing my 10 yr. old and a friend (also 10) to go see a movie unsupervised. I will be checking them into the movie, leaving and then arriving shortly before the movie ends to pick them back up. The movie is at 10am. Am I wrong? Are they still too young or would this be ok? My son's friend's mother is ok with it, but I'm really conflicted.

  1. i think it is fine as long as they have a cellphone an other friends are coming to i went about when i was 10/11 yearz

  2.  when i was 11 me and my friend went to the movies at night (7.00 o'clock) alone but we were picked up and dropped off where you can buy popcorn. whats the worst thing that could happen! it was a populated cinema in a safe neihbourhood and we where given phones but normally at that age a parent would sit behind us in the cinema or go to another movie at the same time.

i am now 12-13 and i am aloud to walk to the movies and get lunch with all of my freinds that my mum likes. with the friends my mum thinks are 'unsafe' she drops me off and picks me up.

    hope that helps
