Does anyone know the real chances of getting the above effects from a jellyfish sting? We recently moved to Broome and was told to avoid the ocean during the wet season but we are having visitors in April and May and I know they are going to want to swim in the gorgeous cable beach, that is what this place is famous for right? Should I be telling them to avoid the ocean?

  1. April and may is the start of the dry season. This is when people start to swim at Cable beach. There should be a life guard on duty so check with him on safety. If you go to the Right of the rocks this is  the nudist side . Any Ocean, any where, any time  can be treacherous at times. One always need to be safety conscious . How about you all go into the resort on the beach there. Join in the happy hour and take a swim there. Beautiful.
