Please only peaceful and intelligent answers. What are your thoughts? Should we leave Iraq? Should we allow Israel and Iran to continue to show off militarily? Have we helped at all. Does anyone even appreciate what we have tried to accomplish peacefully? Should we just go home and let you all be and figure it out on your own?

I want some info from real sources. Not fox news or CNN anymore.

What are your thoughts?

  1. America supports Israel... no matter what. So those who are at war with Israel is automatically at war with America

  2. Yes they are There doing more then Canada is. and canada came in to help with america

  3. Iraq - we've helped them.  We helped them hold free elections and released them from a tyrannical regime.

Iran - we've not helped them.  Since 1979 relations haven't been good between us.

Israel - we've helped them big-time... if it weren't for the US, Israel wouldn't exist, although they can stand on their own now, it is US technology that provides them with the military capabilities that allow them to do so.

Afghanistan - Kicking out the Taliban was a big help to them

Pakistan - Don't we send them aid?  Other than that, I don't know what we've done to help or hurt them.

Any time we free a nation from their oppressors, we have a responsibility to stick around until they can stand on their own two feet.  That time may be nearing in Iraq.  I'm not sure about Afghanistan.

The Iran/Israel thing will be a cold war... lots of saber rattling, and posturing, but no shots fired.  The US needs to keep this from coming to blows... a war between these nations would be very bad for the US.

Isolationist policies are attractive in theory - let the world do what it will.  The problem is that in practice, you can't exist by yourself.  The world has situations that require intervention from time to time.  WWII was a perfect example... the spread of communism that followed was another.  Whether or not the current engagements are also a good example may be left to history, but I think that the US is doing what it must.

  4. The USA acts on what it believes is in the best interest for the country. They involve themselves with or ally themselves with countries furthering their brand of democracy.Whether it is right or wrong, they generalize USA decisions to be justified and in the best interest of all.No doubt it is still free,in the only sense that freedom exists, but will impose itself in world affairs that compromise the governmental perspective!
