Introducing a female cat with a kitten to my own cat

 I would keep them separate for now. A male cat may try and kill the kitten of a female in order to get her into call again. The mother is simply protecting her kitten from this situation. As how and when to introduce them, I'm not sure. Blankets with scents on them is a good idea.
