Reigning Serie A champions Inter Milan are reportedly interested in Porto striker Radamel Falcao.
The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Colombia-c2873 international has attracted a lot of interest from top European clubs since his arrival at Porto in the 2009-10 season and his good performances at the club have not gone unnoticed by the Nerazzurri.
The European champions are known to be in the market for a new striker who can replace the ageing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Diego-Milito-c11166 who has been struggling with injuries throughout the current 2010-11 season. And it seems that Inter president Beppe Marotta
sees the 25-year-old Colombian as the perfect replacement for the 33-year-old striker.
Falcao started his professional football career with Argentine giants http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Porto-c39186 where he developed into one of the deadliest strikers in Europe.
In the 2009-10 season, he scored 36 goals for Porto in all competitions. In the January 2011 transfer window, he was linked to a possible move to the English Premier League side http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429.
According to some reports, he was also being closely monitored by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 and Manchester City but Porto were successful in keeping hold of their asset. His contract at Porto runs until the summer of 2013.
According to conflicting reports, Porto did receive many offers for the Colombian in 2010 but a 35-million-Euro price warded off all interest. It seems that if a suitable offer is tabled, Porto might allow the striker to leave albeit with a lot of reluctance.
Currently, Inter Milan have brought http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Leonardo-c22056 wants to add a few more attacking players to his squad in order to bring in more competition
for the starting line-up.
If Falcao is transferred, it will be a major boost for Inter Milan as they still lack a proven goalscorer even though Eto’o and Pazzini are doing a decent http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.
