  1. Daylight may pose somewhat of a problem, depending on the spectral response of the infrared imager and the spectral emissivity of the material you wish to measure. Heat sources may radiate a wide or narrow spectra of infrared radiation, depending upon the material type and surface treatment. If you could clarify what you want to measure, and what instruments you propose to use, it would be a lot easier to answer the question
