I am his only girl I'm 22 and have been living with my fiance for 2 years out of home. We only live around the corner and i see him at least 3 times aweek but lately he has been very clingy just always wanting 'His Little Girl' with him and taking her out for coffee and lunch. I guess this question is.. is this normal and does the think i wont be his little girl once I'm married?

  1. Its normal he just doesnt want u to grow up thats all.

  2. He's probably scared of losing you, yes

If he's getting too much to bear, you might just have to tell him when you're out for that coffee that you need a little space - under the guise that you need time to plan the wedding if need be

Wishing you all the best for your big day

    :-)

  3. Do this one thing. For a week , you become him. Take him for a coffee or invite him out for a dinner. Make sure sometimes your fiance is there with you two. By this, the sense of security that his little girl is in good hands and not forgetting him will develop.

I am sure after this, he wont do what he is doing now.

  4. Exactly....he maybe regrets not spending more time with you for the past couple years. He realizes that you are grown up now. Fathers usually have a hard time letting go of "their little girl".

  5. he realises you are growing up, will have your own family and he'll get forgotten...

it is perfectly normal... no longer will he be able to be the one you run to for protection, that will be the role of your new husband...

  6. he is sad that you have another man to protect you...just be nice and hang out with him make it easier on him

  7. Hit the nail on the head.  Would you expect him to behave any differently??

He thinks he is losing you, and so are becoming a big girl.

Just reassure him you will always be his 'little girl".  Which mind you he will remind everyone at your wedding of the fact during the speeches!!
