  1. Its all about where its pierced meaning,if its in a spot that gets allot of movement its going to push out quicker..And its up to your body..I cant handle any surface piercing and they reject pretty quick too...


  2. It depends on the amount of tissue there is. Usually a piercist will only repierce an area if they can get enough tissue. They usually never pierce through scar tissue.  

  3. Surface piercings have about at 50% rejection rate. Done properly, with a surface bar with 90 degree bends in a low movement area you minimize the risks of rejection, but can't negate them all together. If you have a surface piercing that has rejected, you need to figure out why. If it was done with flexible material you may have better luck with a proper surface bar.

    You can get it re-done once the scar tissue heals, but still run a high risk of rejection. You can also try micro-dermals, which came out a few years ago. They have a lower rejection rate and a pair of them look like a surface piercing. The downside is that they are much harder to remove.
