I know some guns only use lead pellets, and some use copper heads, so what does the Crosman use?

  1. You should only use lead, either pellets or rounds* in your Crosman Storm XT.

*You could use Gamo's .177 caliber "lead rounds" in your rifle.

Copper or zinc plated steel BBs would be very hard on the barrel of your Storm XT

This is a good article and will explain

There are some air rifles that have barrels designed to shoot both BBs and pellets. The Crosman 2100 and Daisy 880 are two.

A couple of good, reasonable priced pellets for you to try are the Crosman Premier Domed Light(7.9gr) and the RWS Superdome(8.3gr)

  2. as long as its the right caliber I wouldnt worry about it.
