Ice skating.......Song choice.......?

Question

I'm a "PRO" ice skater and I am putting together a program. I want some music that is clean, and is nice to skate to. What do you think? I would like something a little fast, but still, a good ice skating song 2 put on my iPod. If u find anything 4 free, great, but if not, any suggestions for songs are TOTALLY welcome. thx!

Limewire a free shareware site with an unlimited source of any type of music to choose from. Depending if you are putting together a program for exibition or if you are competing to it you have to be more specific to what you want? Whats your theme that you want to portray or is it simply to skate to for personal use while you are training? In the SkyRink they play rock like Metallica and GnR for freestyles so skaters can get pumped in the early mornings. That is done mostly by other skaters though putting there personal Cds in the music player while practicing and working out. All I can say is at 5am when Enter Sandman or Welcome to the Jungle comes on you see high jumps and strong edges and spins come out of the woodwork! You can choose anything really from Areosmith "Walk this way" is one thing Ive seen, this done by the pro coaches at our rink Theme was Hollywood "Time Warp" from Rocky Horror Picture Show, Blondi "one way or another" "The show must go on" by Queen  "Holla back Girl" by Gwen Stefani "Candy Man" and "Hurt" by Christina Auguleria done. Ive seen "Hot Chocolate" and a James Bond Theme" done by the pros in Sky Rink in NYC.

I can go on and on.

It all depends what you want to portray, what you didnt do yet for a performance or exibition piece and what is your music style.

I can't nessesarily give hints for something with lyrics (not sure if thats what your asking for) but a beautiful, mature, and wonderful skating song for competition is Vivaldi's Winter Concerto or something close to that. It's fast and then slow and just beautiful if you have a true understanding of classical for competition.

If you want a song that has lyrics and has to do with skating perhaps try "Get Up" by Superchicks, its from IcePrincess. Might be kinda kiddish but it just came to mind. Hope that helps!

Definetily Bjork -its oh so quiet !

It Defenetily make u want to just go crazy on the ice

its also vey good to jumps or spins in it
